Luisen Park was built from 1892 until 1903. It was first landscaped by the brothers Siesmayer from Frankfurt. It is well admired because of it's beautiful landscape, huge and old trees, green areas, aquarium, terrarium, Gondoletta rides, the China Garden and other activity areas.
In 1958, the Botanical gardens showcasing the tropical plants with butterflies enclosure was built. This is considered as one of the most beautiful park in Europe. The park also hosts the TV Tower which allows a 360 degrees view of Mannheim City and has a revolving restaurant.
